The data we log when a research buyer contacts us, why we hold it, how long it stays, and the controls you keep over it.
Effective date: May 16, 2026
Lyochem ("Lyochem", "we", "us") runs lyochem.com as a correspondence channel for a single, narrow audience: qualified research buyers — academic laboratories, biotech R&D groups, contract research organisations (CROs), pharmaceutical R&D departments, and shared instrumentation cores procuring Research-Use-Only reference standards. We are not a consumer site and do not knowingly take in consumer or patient data.
Because that audience is professional and the data we touch is ordinary B2B contact and procurement information, this notice is deliberately concise. It records what we log, why, how long we keep it, who else sees it, and the rights you can exercise. It is drafted to satisfy the EU GDPR, the UK GDPR, the California CCPA/CPRA, and China's PIPL.
Roles, under GDPR/UK GDPR we are the data controller for what you submit here; under PIPL we are the personal-information handler. Our laboratory is based in Shanghai, China.
Two streams, nothing beyond what a research-procurement conversation needs.
Submitted by you in an inquiry or sample/COA request:
Captured automatically as the Site runs:
Special-category data (health, biometric, racial, political, religious, sexual-orientation) has no place in a reference-standard procurement flow, and we do not knowingly collect it here.
Each processing activity maps to one of these bases:
Strictly the work of getting a research lot from inquiry to delivered, documented vial:
We never sell, rent, or trade your information for anyone else's marketing.
The safeguards on this data:
No system is perfectly secure. We guard your data diligently but cannot promise absolute security, so use your own protections (encrypted email, secure file transfer) when sending sensitive commercial or regulatory documents.
Should a breach affect your personal data, we notify the competent supervisory authority within 72 hours where the law requires it (GDPR Article 33) and tell you directly, without undue delay, where the breach is likely to pose a high risk to your rights and freedoms (GDPR Article 34; PIPL Article 57).
A short, fixed list of service providers, each under a written data-processing agreement holding them to confidentiality and security at least equal to ours:
No marketing-data brokers, ad-tech retargeting networks, or social-media tracking pixels run on this Site.
Our laboratory sits in China and several sub-processors sit in the United States and elsewhere, so your information crosses borders.
EU/EEA data going to non-adequate countries travels under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses plus Schrems II-aligned safeguards; UK data travels under the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
PRC personal information sent abroad relies on the PIPL Article 38 standard contract for cross-border transfer, with personal-information-impact assessments where required.
For California consumers, the CCPA does not restrict cross-border transfer but requires disclosure — which this section provides.
Copies of our transfer agreements are available on request via the contact in Section 12.
Only as long as the purpose or the law requires:
Once a retention period lapses, we securely delete or irreversibly anonymise the data.
Subject to the law that applies to you, you may have the rights to:
To act on any of these, email info@lyochem.com with the subject "Privacy Request", naming the right you want to use. We reply within 30 calendar days and may first verify your identity.

Cookies — we set a minimal set of cookies and similar technologies; the Cookies Policy lists each one with its duration and management steps.
Minors — this Site is for qualified research buyers and is not directed to anyone under 18; we do not knowingly collect data from minors, so tell us if you believe we have and we will delete it.
