Arginine-rich cell-penetrating fusion peptide; Dishevelled binder
Overview
PTD-DBM is a fusion peptide in the cell-penetrating-conjugate class, joining a polyarginine protein-transduction domain to a Dishevelled-binding motif; the full construct is written H-RRRRRRRR-GGGG-RKTGHQICKFRKC-OH. It originated in the Yonsei University laboratory of Professor Kang-Yell Choi and acts by engaging the PDZ domain of Dishevelled (Dvl) and outcompeting the negative regulator CXXC5 for that site, which lifts CXXC5-mediated suppression of Wnt/β-catenin signaling. The arginine octamer supplies membrane translocation, delivering the Dvl-targeting motif intracellularly. Lyochem supplies PTD-DBM as a lyophilized reference standard at ≥99.0% HPLC, released under a per-lot Certificate of Analysis. Given the two cysteine residues and the highly cationic arginine tract, identity is verified by RP-HPLC purity assessment together with ESI-MS confirmation of the ~3082.6 Da H-RRRRRRRR-GGGG-RKTGHQICKFRKC-OH species, with counter-ion and residual-water content reported to define the net peptide fraction. This documentation makes the material a dependable identity benchmark for Wnt-pathway research.
Applications & buyer fit
Repair peptides — BPC-157, TB-500, B7-33, PEG-MGF — ship primarily to research labs studying tissue-repair, gastrointestinal-mucosa, tendon-ligament, and vascular-endothelial models. The synthesis itself is reliable, but analytical confirmation is where suppliers differ: buyers qualifying a new source should request sequence verification by tandem MS on the first lot and compare against the labelled sequence directly.
Academic Laboratories
Universities, medical schools, and government research institutes qualifying a reference standard for a method-development or in vivo workflow.
Biotech R&D Groups
Preclinical biotech and pharmaceutical discovery teams sourcing characterized peptides for receptor-pharmacology, screening, and method-development campaigns.
Every release ships with its own batch-specific CoA — identity, purity, and the analytical scope agreed at quote stage, tied to the exact lot you receive.
Review a representative batch CoA before you order, so you can confirm the packet matches what your method or sponsor audit needs.
Supplied strictly as a research reagent to research institutions — not a finished dosage form and not for human administration. Buyer qualification runs at the inquiry stage.

Frequently asked questions
Lyochem pairs RP-HPLC main-peak purity with ESI-MS mass confirmation against the ~3082.6 Da value expected for H-RRRRRRRR-GGGG-RKTGHQICKFRKC-OH. Reporting the intact mass helps confirm the two cysteines are in the expected state rather than aberrantly modified, and the results are captured on the COA.
A polyarginine sequence carries substantial positive charge and pairs with counter-ions and bound water that add mass to the weighed solid. The COA reports these so that subtracting them yields the true peptide amount, which is critical when preparing accurate reference solutions.
